Exam Scheduling & Preparation

  • The exams are typically taken a few days after the course, allowing time for self-study and review.

  • You must book your own exam slot—we recommend scheduling it within 1-2 weeks of course completion.

  • Book early! Exam slots fill quickly, so secure your date as soon as possible. You can always reschedule or cancel if needed.

Transport Canada Exams for Your Generic Flight Dispatcher Licence

After completing the course, you must pass two Transport Canada exams to earn your Generic Flight Dispatcher Licence:

  1. Meteorology (FDMET) – 100 multiple-choice questions

  2. Flight Operations (FDOPS) – 80 multiple-choice questions

Both exams require a minimum passing score of 70%. You’ll have 3.5 hours to complete them, though most candidates finish in under 2 hours. Results are provided immediately after submission.
